Top 9 Reasons DoFollow Can Hurt Your Blog
Many bloggers have been joining what is dubbed the “dofollow” or the “u comment, I follow” movement. where they install a WordPress plugin that gets rid of the standard “nofollow” attribute attached to blog comments. This means that the search engines will follow all of the commentators links and share the blog post’s pagerank. At first, this may seem like a great idea and a way to get more comments on your blog as well as get more community involvement, but it also has some very damaging flaws. Here are my nine reasons why joining the dofollow movement can hurt your blog.
Confessions of an Affiliate Mind
The following is a paid review and is my complete and honest opinion. If you would like your own paid review on my blog please visit the advertise page.
No, im not going to talk about the George Clooney movie, but rather about about a blog named Affiliate Confession.
Affiliate Confession is the brainchild of network marketer, Alan LeStourgeon. It is essentially a personal blog which takes a completely honest look at all of the issues surrounding making money as an affiliate marketer. In his blog, Alan gives his tried and true opinions about real ways to make money with network marketing instead of boasting about unattainable, unrealistic income like many other popular bloggers. Affiliate Confession is a blog for the regular Joe who wants to dive into earning money online legitimately, minus all the scams and immoral marketing tactics.

Link Building with Drupal
As most of you know, I love finding innovative places that my readers can build links, and today is no exception. Drupal is a massively popular open source framework for websites. The homepage for it is located at drupal.org, and that is the target for todays link building campaign. Drupal is a community focused system, so their site allows users to register and fill out a profile. Inside your profile you are allowed to link to your homepage (I would assume it is supposed to be for your site that is using Drupal). However, no verification is done so you may put your own blog inside. You will get your own user page and a link to your blog will be dofollow (good for search engines), but it does not stop there.
