Link Building with Yedda
Yedda is another site that lets users ask questions about any topic they like. Other users of the site then answer the question and the best answer is voted on by the community.
With a little planning, you can get automated emails for when a question is asked that relates to your keywords, and then you can answer the question and build links from it.
For example, I subscribed to the keyword ‘online dating’, and received an email with someone asking “how do I get a girlfriend,” through which I answered, “try joining a free online dating service” and linked that to Datepad.com. (Source)
This is a very simple, very effective, nearly automated way of building related links to your site. The best part is, you might even get some decent traffic from it as well. Since there are so many possibilities and different variables with this technique, I will just leave the URL and my example, and you can figure out how to optimize it for your own sites.
This is part 28 of my series called the link building cookbook that aims to be the ultimate untapped link building resource on the web.

Thanks for the tip. I’ve bookmarked Yedda and will check it out tomorrow. Sounds like a good way to mesh your blog expertise with an active Q & A audience.
You didn’t mention it specifically in the article, but the in comment links are dofollow, so this is a great source for anchor text of your choice links.
I was able to respond to a couple posts and provided useful information (including my link). The links are follow’ed as well.
Thanks!
Another Great Resource again.
And this is why i visit your blog every other day. This stuff is great man!
Do you find this better, worse or the same as Yahoo answers?
Considering these links are dofollow, I would rate this much better than Yahoo Answers.
Excellent find, I’ll definitely check this out. Given the Alexa ranking, I’m surprised I’ve never heard of it.
Yedda is big out here in Israel. Yedda in Hebrew means knowledge
Thats why the alexa rating is higher..
I’ve noticed that there isn’t any sort of page rank for these questions, do you think there is actually any juice transferred from these? Thanks for all the tips by the way…
I finally stumbled upon Yedda, when I found a site called OMGILI (Oh My God, I Love It!).
Made my profile, and have already answered three questions.
thanks very much really useful. In your experience and opinion how much value does Google give these back links links from Q&A sites compared to DMOZ directory?
Tell me what you're thinking...
