Link Building with Qassia
I had used Qassia a long time ago, back when it had just launched into a private invite-only beta, and didn’t really think much of it because it had zero authority and pagerank.
Well, it is now many months later and my friends post about Qassia reminded me about it and that is well out of beta and is now completely open to everyone. Qassia now has a strong PR5 homepage as well.
Qassia dubs itself as an intelligence engine, but really it is pretty close to just a repository for user submitted articles. Like Squidoo, you can write about any topic you like, and with that, you can build links to your website.
That little paragraph pretty much sums it up. Write content and build links. However, if you want an official description or more information, you can read their about page.

I remember this site! Good to see it has done well and it has well over 100,000 pages indexed within the big G. I took some time to check out user pages with the site: command and did some snooping on how it was ranking. Looks like if you build some decent content on your blog area it stands a great chance of ranking for most longtails.
I even remember the buy viagra spammers were using Qassia for a bit because it was easily ranked with a bunch of links thrown at it.
Thanks for informing us. It looks good.
Good post, thanks for reminding me of the find. I remember coming across this some time ago and I’ll need to revisit. Your correct too- just another weapon in the arsenal of link building link LinkXL, but this is a more “old skool” way of building links- writing posts and point the right text to your site.
Collin,
Thanks for this.
Grr… Unfortunately Qassia outbound links all got rel=”nofollow”. I’m not too surprise how those type of site steal the content from innocent people who doesn’t know what “nofollow” means and keep writing their finest articles to contribute.
In the spring I started using Qassia and I like it because you can do quick info or reviews. It comes in handy and I like finding other members and commenting on their stuff. You can probably back link in comments too. Good to point Qassia out as you build quick links with this site.
Yet another chapter for the cookbook, its gonna have 50 before you know it!!!
Yeah before I was also just invited into their beta site then. I think its a decent site to build links with..
Yeahh, qassia is a good source to have more backlink for your site
I’ve tried Qassia for a while but I haven’t got good result
Well done Colin. You info is always top-notch. Keep it coming.
Anthony
Qassia = Crappia. Wasted a lot of time on there writing intel. No backlinks, No traffic, No exposure. Then they decided to stop all but unique articles, so to waste even more time, you have to write something only for crappia. I tried writing an article, posting on qassia first, the on other sites after it was rated(my blog and other article directories), do you know what happened? They kicked me out! They wasted my time and then destroyed it (sad panda …..mew!!)
They now require all new users to put up a $5 fee to join.
Previous members will retain their free status, but they will need to log in to the system for their account to be allowed to remain. Dormant accounts will be purged!
I have never heard of Quassia before but seems pretty interesting. Its worth giving a chance.
Tell me what you're thinking...
