Link Building with Ning

Ning is a website that allows anyone to create their own social network for whatever they feel like, whether that be a social network about dancing all the way to a social network about link building strategies.

There is tons of link building potential with Ning.com, and so I figured I would give everyone a quick guide to some of the fastest ways to build useful links with the site.

Link Building Strategy #1
Sign up for a free social network related to your niche. For example, I own the linkbuildingstrategies.ning.com social network and it features my RSS feed with dofollow links

Link Building Strategy #2
Find someone elses (more aged/authoritative) social network that allows for anyone to join it and post “blog posts” on it. Post a blog post (which is actually just a comment it seems like) and put a dofollow anchor text link in it. You can see a live example here

Link Building Strategy #3
This pretty much goes hand-in-hand with the #2 technique, but you can easily spam tons of related keywords so that not only do you get the dofollow link from the blog post (or comment as I would call it), but you get a bunch of links for every “tag” that you add to the post. You can see an example here.

Link Building Strategy #4 (not recommended for most)
You can create dozens of free social network subdomains and use blackhat/spam techniques to quickly promote them so they rank really well in a short amount of time and provide you with a few dozen very strong links (but this method isn’t long term, so I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who doesn’t do blackhat SEO for a living).

There is most likely many more link building strategies that you could find from Ning.com, so I leave the deeper search up to you.

  14. Very good link building strategy Collin. Unfortunately, we can’t be everywhere at once and building a network requires efforts so I kind of neglected Ning in the past but your post shows some real potential to explore.
