  4. Hey Collin, I hope school is going good and your not partying to much or Rick Rolling to many people like your teachers.

Regarding this post I would like to point out something about your referral program which you guys like to promote heavily.

What Market Leverage and other affiliate networks need to do is start focusing on new affiliate training programs.Getting people to sign up under your affiliate link is useless if the people have no clue what there doing, and simply placing banners on your sites is not enough to generate any stable amount of income from, from either side of the coin.

Here is my proof of what I am saying.

Tyler Cruz has been running a contest with you guys for about 6 months and has had around 100 or more sign ups through his referral link. Out of that there is only a small number of people who are actually making money using Market Leverage. Why is that? Well, it’s because there is no guidance for new affiliate’s to learn from and Tyler is not a good enough affiliate marketer to teach properly. When I first joined ML it took me almost a day to find out how to get just my affiliate link for an offer. I was new back then to affiliate marketing.

How many other new affiliates have the same problems?

At best, most affiliate networks send people who want to learn affiliate marketing to peoples blogs and that is no way to teach the new affiliate marketers. Most bloggers who make money affiliate marketing do not share how they do it, and that ends up killing the new affiliate from ever taking off.

So, in conclusion, sending traffic your way or to other networks is a waste of time unless there is a FREE education system for new affiliates to learn from. A good idea for all networks is to make tutorial videos of how there actual site works. How to get links, find offers, use the stats and tracking systems and send them to there new affiliates via email, don’t just build a page and leave it there. Aweber sends you training material over the first week of you signing up with them, why can’t affiliate networks.

Or, better yet. Pay for the first months fees at PPC coach and help affiliates get started. You guys dump a lot of money into prizes that most people can not win. Start think of educating new affiliates and we all make more money.

  6. I cannot agree more. With all the affiliate programs out there, and seemingly more starting everyday, I feel the winners will be those who train newbies. Instead of poaching the whales, grow your own. Recruit a big dog affiliate marketer only means he is recruitable. Train someone up on ML, and they are yours forever.

Thirty Day Challenge would be a good format to study, especially last year’s when they set a goal of the first $10 dollars. Plus, they set people up in groups to help each other drive traffic. You could call it the $1,000 Dollar Club or something, and people who have yet to make that in a month study and work together to reach $1,000 through ML in a month.

Also, ML could help all forms of marketing (PPC [which I assume is search] and email). I am starting to get into email, and I have tons of questions. I just spent 6 hours trying to go through a 14 MB, 600,000+ person suppression file. Only to find one email on my mailing list that was on the suppression list. If ML helped me, who’s offers am I going to promote?

  8. Thats not a bad idea. Just if they do it, don’t promote programs that people are going to have to pay for. Affiliate marketing is pricey enough at times so get free tools. That is what the PPC coach does. You buy his membership to his site for 50 a month, you get all the free tools you can handle.

  10. Hi Collin- Great suggestion! We’re actually implementing quite a few tutorial type programs to teach new affiliates how to best utilize our network. This includes a contest that launched across several blogs this month, where affiliates, both new and vets, can submit their tips and examples of marketing strategies. Thank you for the feedback. We’ll have some other exciting tools out very soon!

  12. Well, its like I said and same with the other guy. You can pamper 10 supper affiliate’s who always squeeze more money out of ya but are able to keep your numbers high or you can retool and teach new affiliates who will be great full for your help and have 10000 affiliates busting there asses for you.

I am part of the PPC Coach mentoring program and the one thing that I am very impressed with is the fact every tool you need to use, Will built or had built so you don’t have to waste money on it. Very smart thinking if you as me.

Regarding the contest that’s out now. I did enter on Zacs blog. If you havn’t seen m enter, you should go check it out
