Link Building with GoArticles

GoArticles is a free article submission website that allows you to write an article (generally 400+ words) about any topic and publish it on their site. Much like any other article submission site, GoArticles allows you to put a little “author byline” in the bottom with some dofollow links with the thought that anyone that copies the article (which you want them to do), will include your links when they republish it.

Well, aside from the obvious link you can get for writing a really quick article, you can get a dofollow anchor text link from your profile. You can check out my author profile here and notice that I have a one way dofollow text link back to my blog, and it also lists all of the articles I have written. Just for reference, I have written a really (lame) article about one way link building which was basically me just ranting off buzz words and me typing what came to my head without punctuation. The hope would be that automated bots would search for keywords that the webmasters looking for content want to publish about, and thus the article may get me a few links.

While GoArticles is certainly not as good of an article directory as eZineArticles.com, it still provides a nice way to get a profile link (of which you can use link building software to promote), as well as a place to publish an article for a quick link (and potentially more if any bots/crawlers pick it up). So go sign up a profile, and if you have a few minutes, write a quick article about your topic, although I would recommend you put a ‘little’ more effort into your article than I did into mine if you really expect it to be helpful over the long road.

  6. Wow. You got a great blog. One of the few steady link building blogs. You actually share your techniques. I love it. Eric Ward and Jim Boykin share stuff sometimes but I love how your breaking each and every technique that you come across.

You’ve been added to my rare RSS reader. :D Keep up the great work.

  8. Once again when I’ve gone brain-dead and unproductive with my linkbuilding you’ve given me a good link idea. This one and the Zillow will be handy additions.

    Thanks Collin!

  26. Great article! I can personally relate to this because I have some Goarticles ranking very high in Google. The trick is to link to your article to make sure it ranks at the top.

I like your content! Keep it up!

  28. Link building has worked for me over the years especially when you use them on blogs with articles, I have used article directory sites like ezinearticles.com, but not with goarticles, however, I would suggest link building with sites that have high page ranks say PR3

  32. From what I have noticed, it appears that Google no longer pays any attention to articles from goarticles. This is likely because it is too easy to put articles on that site and get backlinks from it.

Therefore, I will no longer submit articles to goarticles.

By the way, articlebase is now nofollow (just in case you didn’t know).

  60. I’ve published an article or two in GoArticles for the links from the articles. I didn’t know that the link from the profile page was hot too. Good deal. Good to know. Thanks for yet another good read.
