Twitter is the ‘big thing’ of 2009. Although it will celebrate its 4th birthday in March 2010, it is really only in the latter part of 08 and throughout this year that the site has exploded into popularity. Call it the digital success story of the year, if you will, but businesses and recreational users alike are Tweeting like crazy!
It’s true that the revolutionary micro-blogging platform can generate masses of traffic for your site. But it’s not as easy as posting and cashing in! Building up followers and encouraging a high click through rate from the links you post is a time consuming process. Here are a few things that might help.
Link Building with ChaCha
This little diamond in the rough I discovered earlier today when looking up incoming links to a high ranking article that I had previously promoted. The website that this post will be talking about is called ChaCha, a service that allows you to text them any question you have and they will have their staff members look up the answer for you. Unlike the similar service called KGB that many of you may have heard of, ChaCha is completely free and is supported by advertisements.
Copy Paste Link Building
This is a cool little link building tip I just learned about that I thought was really cool. It is a piece of javascript code that adds extra content (and links) when people copy paste from your blog/website.
The script is called Link Building Pro, and can be downloaded for free from SEOX.org. You can read more about it on that website.
Link Building with VegWeb
I know a lot of you own and do link building for a lot of health related websites, so this one will be especially beneficial to all of you. Today’s post is about a website called VegWeb.
VegWeb is an online encyclopedia of vegan recipes as well as vegan cooking tips. It is a massive website that not only has over 13,000 recipes, but also boasts an impressive pagerank 7. This is common knowledge that this site is an authority powerhouse in Google, so any internal profile links you can get from this site will share that authority with your own site.
